FAQ's 

So how do I order??​

 

That's easy to place an order go to my shop page or if you have another request fill in the contact form and I will give you a call.  Once I have received an order I am able to give you up to date prices on any additional charms you may require and discuss colours and time lines.

How Long before I receive my Jewellery?

​

Depending on how busy turnaround can be within 1 to 2 weeks at quiet times, sometimes longer in busy periods but you would be advised of this once your order is received. 

 

Remember the run up to Christmas can be busy - so get your order in quick to get that special stocking filler!!

 

How do I send Ashes or Horse Hair/Pet Fur and how much do I need?

For Ashes I really do not need a lot, as a gauge a teaspoon is plenty placed in a small sealed bag or cosmetic pot. Remember to label and place your details inside when sending  to Tails Of The Forest32 Partridge Road, Dibden Purlieu, Hythe. Hants. SO45 4LP.

 

Horse Hair tail is required for bracelets the longer the better!! pendants longer mane hair is fine.  

 

For The  best place to get long tail hair is to go to the back of the horses dock and cut sections, around a pencil width or more, in several places then it is unnoticeable.  Tie the top in a Plaiting/rubber band and then wash in warm mild shampoo NO CONDITIONER -  Once your hair is completely dry and combed hair place in an airtight bag along with a copy of  your order form. Do not plait or coil the hair when sending, send to .Tails Of The Forest32 Partridge Road, Dibden Purlieu, Hythe. Hants. SO45 4LP.

For peace of mind we strongly advise that your horse hair is packaged correctly, securely and you use registered/tracked post with a tracking number.

Payment and Postage

Full Payment is required when ordering, full details of how to pay are on the order form.

​

All Jewellery is  sent via first class tracked postage UK and included in the price.

​

Do I have to have my own horse?

​

No, not at all, you may just love horses and ponies!  I do have a supply of  hair available for those who would like a bracelet but do not have their own horse. Some of my clients are happy for me to use any left over hair to mix with others to create a stock hair.

If I change my mind on my order, can I return it and get a refund?

 

Commissioned Pieces

I hope you love your jewellery, unfortunately as they are bespoke and hand crafted, and by their very nature being made of your loved ones ashes/hair or pet hair.  There are no refunds or exchanges given/or for a change of mind. 

​

However if your piece of jewellery has not been started and settings been specifically bought in, it is likely that your order will be refunded, so long as you contact me tailsoftheforest@hotmail.com.  As soon as you have received an email confirming I have received your ashes and order., I am unable to accept any returns or refunds once a item as been posted out to you.  I will not repair an item which has become faulty over time to general wear and tear or incorrect care. (See care in FAQ's)

Sterling Silver Equestrian Jewellery

Hopefully you are happy with your purchase, however once received if you are not satisfied then please contact me upon receipt to explain reason for exchange or return.   I do offer a offer a 14 day return policy. 

​

The jewellery must not be worn, and is to be returned by tracked 1st class postage in the original packaging with the invoice or copy of receipt.  Once it has been returned and inspected,  a refund will be issued minus postage charge.

Wear and tear of products is not covered by any warranty.

Purchases exempt from both the refund and exchange policies, unless they are structurally faulty, are:

Personalised pieces ,handcrafted horsehair bracelets and keycharms.,earrings and Studs, & rings, commissioned pieces & (Bespoke), customised pieces containing Hair and Ashes

For your own security, if you do return an item then  to me then use registered mail or as a parcel with return receipt. I am unable to assume liability for damage, loss or theft during transport.
